OWNER, HEAD FITNESS INSTRUCTOR, DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Andrew Slac
Training at Black Rose was one of the best things I'd ever done. Becoming the owner is one of my greatest honors. Coaching this crew is invaluable.
I found my feet in jazz when I was a kid thanks to my amazing parents, Gary and Mary. I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world and train with some of the very best in their field, including my hero D.J. Brown, as well as the originators and legends of their fields. I’ve made a career that centers on not just creativity, but the empowerment and celebration of everything that makes us human.
I specialize in jazz (especially Fosse, burlesque, broadway, contemporary and early 1900’s vernacular dance), hip hop and have trained extensively in partner dance.
I’ve been performing most of my life, teaching and doing my very best to help others tap into their most confident self whenever they take the stage. It doesn’t matter if it’s a show, a competition or just a night out, we are all able to feel powerful and joyful and make the world a little more magical.
The stage gave me everything; an artistic outlet, a job, my best friends and Kati, my amazing partner. What will it give you?
Andrew brings a wealth of athletic expertise from his life as a professional dancer and is proudly certified through West Side Barbell and The Ready State.

HEAD YOGA INSTRUCTOR + DANCE INSTRUCTOR
Nicki taylor
Nicki has been in love with movement of the body since she was a young girl. She was a ballet and Jazz dancer as a kid and dancing actually became her full time career. Nicki started her yoga journey in 2004 when she was recovering from a dance injury and could not perform. Her mom suggested she try a yoga class and the rest is history. She used the yoga as her rehabilitation and has never looked back. She instantly fell in love with the effects of the practice and noticed the positive benefits not only physically, but yogic philosophy became her lifestyle.
Nicki’s yoga background includes Annie Carpenters Smart Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Restorative and more. Nicki is certified in Trauma recovery yoga as well as Pilates and Bootcamp. With over 1,000 hours of training experience, and over 5,000 hours of teaching experience, she and her yoga partner Kelsey Sellman now lead 200 RYT trainings with their school The Mojave Yoga Collective. When Nicki is not doing yoga, she dives deeper into meditation, reading, journaling, and is in love with self study or “self work”. She attends 10 day vipassana retreats, and loves to continue to learn. Something you might not know about Nicki is that she completed her first 200 RYT training with her mom and her brother.
Some of her influences are Alan Watts, Abraham Hicks, Eckhart Tolle, Paul Selig and for a good laugh JP sears.

DANCE INSTRUCTOR
DANI JO RENNER
Born and raised in Idaho, Dani Jo took modern and jazz dance classes when she was very young and throughout high school she really enjoyed mixing the music and creating choreography for her Cheerleading team. In 2010, Dani Jo was inspired to become a dance fitness instructor. Since then she has taught at gyms all over the state of Oregon teaching formats like Zumba, Club Dance, U-Jam, GROOV3 and then she decided to create her own format WERK IT FIT in 2017. Over the years, she was also a Dance Fitness, did dance therapy for foster kids, choreographed parades and performed in local events solo as well as with dance crews.
Dani Jo believes that dance doesn't have to just be technical but it can be a fun outlet, where you can destress while getting a good sweat on. It is a lifestyle in which you can build a community/support system around. More than anything Dani Jo loves being able to share this bliss that she gets from dancing with others and so they can walk out of her classes feeling healthier and happier!
